Methuen Joins Nationwide No Kings Rally
Written by: Kelsey Shibilia
Greater Methuen Indivisible will be holding a NO KINGS Standout this Saturday, March 28th from 12:30pm to 2pm on the sidewalks of Haverhill Street in Methuen in front of Merrimack Plaza. This will be the 3rd nationwide rally to show our country’s leaders that the people will not stand for violations of the constitution, kidnapping of our neighbors, attacks on the LGBTQIA community, attacks on healthcare, attacks on education, chaos and bloodshed on the world stage and so much more. We stand together in unity to demonstrate that this government is for the people, by the people- and not billionaires. Methuen will be one of over 3,100 protests nationwide!
No Kings is one tactic in what will undoubtedly be a long fight for freedom from tyranny. We want this to be a catalyst to bring us together as a local, real life community. We want us all to get to know each other and our values. We want to continue to grow an organization that stands up to build a community, state and country that supports us all- starting with Methuen. We will be collecting donations for the Methuen Public School Backpack Program to help support our community in times of need. Please bring a non-perishable item with you to the rally!
