Jon Taffer Draws Huge Crowd at One Stop Liquors for New Bourbon Launch

Celebrity bar expert Jon Taffer, known nationwide for transforming struggling establishments on his hit show Bar Rescue, made an appearance in Methuen on Friday evening as he promoted his newest creation: Taffer’s Browned Butter Bourbon.

Fans began lining up more than an hour before the scheduled 6 p.m. start, and by the time Taffer arrived, the line wrapped around the interior of One Stop Liquors at The Loop. The excitement was palpable as residents, bourbon lovers, and Bar Rescue fans packed the store shoulder-to-shoulder, eager for a chance to meet the TV icon.

One Stop Liquors offered free samples of a signature cocktail called the Maple Harvest, crafted with Taffer’s new Browned Butter Bourbon. The drink—sweet, smooth, and autumn-perfect—was a clear hit among attendees. The recipe was provided on a hand out card which is pictured above.

Taffer spent the evening greeting fans, posing for photos, and autographing bottles. Attendees said he was personable, energetic, and “exactly how he is on TV.”

This marks the second recent major celebrity visit at One Stop Liquors in just a few weeks, following an appearance by Red Sox legend David Ortiz, who was promoting his new Dominican rum brand Ozama, reinforcing the store’s reputation as an increasingly popular stop for high-profile promotional events.

Taffer’s Browned Butter Bourbon is one of several new additions to his growing line of craft spirits, and if tonight’s turnout is any indication, Methuen residents are eager to get a taste of what he’s mixing up next.
